As Managing Director of The Village Collective, I oversee the production and management of dynamic live events that bring together emerging artists and engaged audiences. The Village produces Salons, where artists across disciplines present works-in-progress in an intimate and collaborative environment. Since its founding in 2021, The Village has hosted eleven sold-out Salons in New York City and successfully hosted a pop-up event in Los Angeles, a milestone that demonstrated my ability to adapt and scale live events across new markets.
The Salons host 100-250 guests and showcase the works-in-progress of 10-15 artists spanning visual arts, theater, music, dance, and multimedia disciplines. Each event follows a three-part structure:
Visual Art Gallery β A curated exhibition of in-progress works by visual artists.
Performance Showcase β Live performances featuring music, theatre, dance, comedy, and more.
Wrap Party β A social gathering featuring a DJ set that fosters conversation and connection between artists and audiences.
My role in producing and managing these events includes venue booking, contract negotiation, artist recruitment, ticketing, marketing assistance, hospitality, and logistics coordination. I also oversee event schedules, volunteers, stage management, and production elements such as videography, photography, security, and bar service. I manage on-site operations, from load-in to strike, and troubleshoot challenges in real time to ensure a seamless experience for artists and guests.
At its core, my work is about building community, supporting artists, and creating an exceptional event experience. The Salonβs mission is to foster connections between artists and audiences while supporting the development of new artistic work. Over the years, The Village has presented works-in-progress from over 130 artists and welcomed more than 1,500 patrons through its doors.
